This is a friendly reminder that your Reading Club orders are due by 10/12/16. You can place your orders online at scholastic.com/readingclub using my class activation code: DRMBJ

This month’s Scholastic Reading Club flyers are now available! Please take a few moments to explore the selection together and let your child help choose books he or she is excited to read.

You can order online at scholastic.com/readingclub, where you’ll find a wide selection of quality children’s books that are just right for your child’s reading level and interests. Or return your paper order form to me with a check made out to “Scholastic Reading Club.”

When placing an online book order through Scholastic, please remember to enter our class code: DRMBJ or simply use this link: https://orders.scholastic.com/DRMBJ  I included this code in the papers I had given parents during Back to School Night. Using the code ensures the book get shipped to me and I can give them to your child. Without the class code, I will not know where your books are going to be shipped and to whom so I will not be able to forward them to your child. Do not have the books shipped directly to your home because you will be charged a shipping fee. When they are shipped to me, they are shipped free of charge.

For book orders using the book order form in the magazines sent home with your child: Due date has been extended to Wednesday, October 12.

For any generous parents out there, we are in need of COLORED copy machine paper for our artwork, school work, and projects. I DO NOT need white as that is supplied by the school. Bright and neon colors work best for projects. Please send to school as soon as possible. With the holidays fast approaching beginning with Halloween....we will have a great need for the colored paper...for projects and art work. No dark colors please as we cannot photocopy on those. No construction paper either as the copy machine does not take them. Thanks!Appreciate your generosity!

For those who have not, please turn in the following as SOON AS POSSIBLE:

1. Green Communication Form sent by Mrs. Dialani in yellow folder during Back to School Night

2. PTA Membership Dues, classes with 100% receive a prize. We are hoping to get to 100%. If you have multiple children at Monterey Vista, you only have to pay $8 (one membership) and it will be credited towards all your other children at the school. Paying the dues DOES NOT force you to attend meetings. Membership dues are used to fund assemblies and field trips for students.

3. Behavior Compact (green for Vietnamese, white for English, blue for Chinese, buff for Spanish), signed by parent, student, and I will sign too as soon as it is turned in to me.

The deadline for submission of the completed packet has been extended to Friday, September 9.

 

Please do not have children attempt to complete the packet on the weekend as all lessons have not been discussed as yet.
